As the name suggests, PlacidWave is a real guarantor that behaves really gently on the smaller, less perfect waves.
It is designed for side-on / onshore conditions where speed retention and kinetic energy are paramount. The wider tail and moderately curved rocker help maintain momentum and glide speed as you turn on the wave after the bottom turn.
The bottom of the board runs from monoconcave to doubleconcave for a quick ascent, and the design of the tail section ending in "V-concave" to "flat V" allows for tight turns.
You can get the most out of PlacidWave with a quad or a slightly "looser" twinfin setup.
You can ask a more curved rocker to turn even tighter, but that requires some compromise on gliding performance.
